…but too much blue in the shadows can also look a bit off. See for yourself here. That’s why I touched up this little guy: I thinly layered Naples Yellow on most of the shadow spots so that they would be more connected with the rest of the scene which also contains a lot of Naples Yellow. And voila, it is done!
Blau ist zwar toll, aber zu viel Blau als Schattenfarbe kann auch merkwürdig aussehen. Diese Einsicht hatte ich neulich bei diesem kleinen Bild. Daher habe ich noch einmal ein Lasur mit Neapelgelb über die meisten der doch sehr blauen Schattenstellen rübergearbeitet. Jetzt sind die Schatten besser mit dem Rest des Bildes verknüpft, in dem ja auch viel Neapelgelb ist. Und deswegen ist das Bild jetzt fertig.
