BeimPolizeihundeverein

In die Weite hinaus (Hinterm Polizeihundverein). Aquarell, 24 x 32 cm.

There are police dog training grounds nearb where I live right on the edge of town. I sat in the shade yesterday in my camping chair with brown, yellow and green fields in front of me and dozens of dog owners and their cars (there was a turning loop outside the training grounds) behind me. It was a right bustling and hustling of dogs and people, none of which made it into the painting, but I can’t forget the setting I was in when I painted it. One of the dog owners told me that I had narrowly missed a group of storks which had adorned the field the day before. She was right, storks would have been something, but those fields were beautiful the way they were, too!
