I love snow! All the subtle hues of blue and gray – I can never get enough of it. So right now is a happy time for me, because winter is here already in Northern Germany. A new set of challenges for the sketcher! Ink line work must be done with care or it will not be organically part of the snow landscape, I think. This is why I didn’t use any in yesterday’s group of trees. Still, I thought I might try my Preppy fountain pen with a 0.3-nib and blue-black ink in this one. It’s ultimately not the ideal colour for drawing but here it seemed to just work.

Ich liebe Schnee! Diese zarten Abstufungen von Blau- und Grautönen – da kann ich einfach nicht genug von kriegen! Deswegen bin ich gerade sehr zufrieden. Aber ich muss jetzt etwas anders ans Sketchen rangehen. Starke Konturen mit Tintenliner müssten eigentlich zu heftig sein bei Schneebildern, denke ich mir, und deswegen hat die Baumgruppe von gestern auch keine gekriegt. Aber hier wollte ich es dann doch mal ausprobieren. In meinem Preppy-Füller mit ultraschmaler Feder ist gerade dokumentenechte blau-schwarze Tinte. Die ist eigentlich gar nicht so günstig zum Sketchen, aber für dieses Winterbild scheint sie zu passen.
