I ended last year on a high note: just a few days before the year was out I managed to get out to paint and it was oh so wonderful! I just love these very atmospheric overcast days we’re having here in the north of Germany at this time of year. Everything is still and quiet and there is so much promise in every nook and cranny in the woods and meadows. As I stood there painting with the river in my back I very consciously soaked it all up and revelled in it. I don’t make new year’s resolutions but I hope that this year I will be able to paint outdoors more often. I hope it will be a good year for all of us! Thank you for your support and your comments this past year.
