Chickens

Until a few weeks ago I wouldn’t have had a lot to say about chickens. I always thought them a bit weird, to be honest. It’s probably because I don’t know birds. Last weekend then I got to see a whole lot of chickens and this gave me the opportunity to revise my opinion on them. I was so fortunate as to encounter the largest kind of chicken (don’t ask me what it’s called, no idea) and these specimens were quite used to humans. Meaning: they came up to us in all their feathery beauty instead of running around crazily in that typical weird-chicken way. Their plumes are so, so beautiful! I feel a painting forming somewhere inside of me, maybe…already did some watercrayon sketches. I like the bottom left one best because the line is nice and wobbly.

I want to see more of them chickens!

Look at this proud big chicken!
