While you’re reading this, I’m most likely sitting on the train to or from work glancing cursorily at other people who are probably also commuters. I do that a lot these days. I’ve been commuting since 2013, and although I mostly get immersed in myself and my projects and don’t notice folk, sometimes I still have capacities to sketch. And so I do; it’s an easy thing when you always have your sketching kit with you. This lady also commutes, I could tell. She was, as Marc Taro Holmes calls it, a ‚captive subject‘, and so it was easy to sketch her.
Während diese Zeilen auf Deinem/Ihrem Bildschirm auftauchen, sitze ich wahrscheinlich gerade im Zug und schaue mir die Leute an. Das mache ich jetzt häufiger. Seit 2013 pendle ich, und obwohl ich mich eigentlich meistens sofort in meine Arbeit vertiefe und die Leute um mich herum weittestgehend ausblende, habe ich manchmal doch noch ein bisschen Energie übrig zum imaginären oder „richtigen“ Sketchen. Also mache ich das. Die Ausrüstung habe ich ja eh immer dabei. Diese Dame hier pendelt auch, das weiß ich. Sie saß ruhig da und hat gelesen und deswegen war es einfach, sie zu zeichnen.
