Travelling to Hanover yesterday, I tried not to sketch people on the train. I can’t do the same thing all the time. So I focused on train stations and scenery instead. Luckily there was a mishap along the way and my train had to wait for the track to be cleared. Perfect for sketching the view! Mind you, it’s not a view I would’ve chosen myself: there is no lead-in really as the trees block the way and the shapes aren’t that interesting. But that’s precisely why doing this was a nice little challenge. And I’m even happy with the result 🙂
Ich war gestern mit dem Zug unterwegs und wusste schon vorher, dass ich diesmal keine Mitreisenden zeichnen werde. Ich brauchte Abwechslung und habe mich deswegen auf die Landschaft konzentriert. Zum Glück gab’s eine Gleissperrung kurz vor Isernhagen, so dass ich viel Zeit zum Malen der Aussicht hatte. Ich hätte dieses Motiv selbst sonst nicht gewählt: es fehlt der Weg rein ins Bild und in die Ferne, weil die Bäume alles verstellen, und die Formen sind insgesamt nicht so interessant. Es war also eine kleine Herausforderung und ich freue mich über das Ergebnis 🙂
