Last night I had about 40 minutes to spare between arriving in town and going to an evening meeting at church. You probably know this feeling yourself – when you are fully willing to sketch something and nothing really appeals? That’s how I felt at first as I roamed the streets (ok, this is a bit dramatic but you get the gist). Luckily I reached the market square just as the sun came out again, illuminating all the buildings most beautifully. This building with all its turrets and lavish ornaments was just right for the occasion.
