Two days ago incessant heavy rain prevented any painting outing whatsoever. I had reserved time in the day especially for that and was therefore quite disappointed. However, one of the blogs I read happened to feature a post on flower painting that day, and so it occurred to me that I could do that instead. I already had a lovely bouquet of pink roses at home and I quickly dashed out in the rain and picked three more pinkish flowers: one clover blossom and two stems of sweet-peas, also in bloom. And then I had fun with these guys! I used magenta (S), rose madder (S), opera rose (WN) and a tiny bit of cad-red (WN) for the blossoms. The base for the green is my new Mijello sap green which is very intense. The writing means – along the lines of ‚beggars can’t be choosers‘: In an emergency Antje will paint flowers.
Vor zwei Tagen hat es so ununterbrochen und stark geregnet, das mir mein Malausflug für den Tag quasi ins Wasser fiel. Einer der Blogs, die ich lese, veröffentlichte just am selben Tag einen Beitrag zum Blumenmalen, und weil ich gerade eh einen schönen Rosenstrauss hier hatte, kam mir die Idee, dann eben einfach auch Blumen zu malen. Also bin ich schnell rausgehuscht und habe mir noch drei Stengelchen zusätzlich gepflückt, und zwar Rotklee und Edelwicke. Und dann habe ich mich mit all den rosafarbenen Blumen vergnügt! Benutzt habe ich für die Blüten Magenta (S), Krapplack rosa (S), Opernrosa (WN) und ein bisschen Kadmiumrot (WN). Die Grundfarbe für das Grün ist ein fertig abgemischtes Saftgrün von Mijello.
