April has been a great month for me: not only did I win an Award of Excellence (and a bit of cash) at the first ever art competition I took part in, I also – and very unexpectedly, I should add – sold a few paintings, both in the US and at a local exhibition here in Luneburg. And my workshops went super well this month, too. Thank you to all my buyers and collectors and friends! I feel immensely buoyed by all the support. Therefore I just want to send one big „thank you“ out into the world, and what better way is there for such a gesture than a still life with Cholula sauce? Exactly.
Der April war ein super Monat für mich: zuerst habe ich bei dem ersten Kunstwettbewerb in den USA, an dem ich jemals teilgenommen habe, eine Auszeichnung (und ein bisschen Geld) gewonnen, dann habe ich auch noch eins der Bilder dort verkauft und schlussendlich habe ich noch – und das kam wirklich ziemlich unerwartet – auch hier in Lüneburg in einer Ausstellung ein paar Bilder verkauft. Und meine Workshops liefen super. Juhu! Ich fühle mich getragen von einer Welle von Unterstützung und Anerkennung und möchte einfach mal DANKE sagen. DANKE, ihr lieben WorkshopteilnehmerInnen, SammlerInnen und Freunde&Freundinnen! Und am besten lässt sich diese Geste doch mit einem warmen Stilleben, in dem die (uns in Deutschland eher unbekannte) Würzsoße mit dem tollen mexikanischen Namen Cholula die Hauptrolle spielt, ausdrücken, oder? Eben.
